“BLOGS & CRAFTS i giovani artigiani e il web” is an initiative begun in 2014 by the ARTIGIANATO E PALAZZO exhibition committee that seeks to increase youth engagement in the event. In order to do so, the initiative creates opportunities for bloggers and young traditional artisans to have mutually beneficial exchanges of content and coverage.
This project aims to exhibit traditional technical skills through contemporary communication channels.
Fondazione Ferragamo, the ideal partner for promoting artisanal crafts and Made in Italy products renews its commitment to support the V edition of BLOGS & CRAFTS.
The winners will also be offered the opportunity to visit the private Archives of Salvatore Ferragamo.
During this edition of BLOGS & CRAFTS a select committee will choose 10 artisans under the age of 35 who will have the opportunity to exhibit their work for free during ARTIGIANATO E PALAZZO.
A group of bloggers in fields such as artisanal crafts, lifestyle, fashion, and tourism will be selected and asked to live blog the event and write a post about their experience. They will be offered two nights accommodation in Florence in the Starhotels hotel.
On saturday the 19th a special day will be dedicated to all the blogger in Barberino Designer Outlet, a partner of Blogs&Crafts 2018.
Thanks to the collaboration with SOURCE, Design & Networking Agency that connects young talents with the world of production and business, a special commission will select one of the 10 invited artisans whose work is most relevant to the theme of sustainability and technology and will honour him with the “SOURCE Award”.
The selected artisan will then have the opportunity to exhibit his product during the SOURCE event scheduled for the 2019 edition of Fuorisalone in Milan. www.sourcefirenze.it
