La Mostra ARTIGIANATO E PALAZZO botteghe artigiane e loro committenze è nata nel 1995, da un’idea di Neri Torrigiani e promossa dalla principessa Giorgiana Corsini, principalmente per rivalutare e rinquadrare ai giorni nostri la figura dell’artigiano e del suo lavoro, considerandolo alta espressione di qualità e di tecnica, legato sì alla committenza, ma insistendo sull’idea di un artigianato per sua natura “moderno”, senza con questo dimenticare l’elemento fondamentale della tradizione.

we are launching a photo competition

“UNA TORTA PER SOGNARE”

Relive your wedding excitement

 

Have you organized a dream wedding?

Have you been invited to unforgettable weddings?

Have you heard talk from your family or friends of a fairytale ceremony?

Thanks to the photo competition Una Torta Per Sognare the lucky winners-either a couple or an individual-will be invited on Sunday May 21st to the show ARTIGIANATO E PALAZZO (artigianatoepalazzo.it). The show will be held from May 18th till the 21st in the magnificent Corsini Gardens of Florence. At the show the winner of “The Dream Cake” will get to relive the excitement of their wedding day, and taste their wedding cake as recreated by a master pastry chef. The winner of the competition will also receive a free room for two at the Starhotels in Florence on the night of the 21st.

 

DURATION

The contest will be open for submissions between April 13th and May 5th.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

The contest is free and open to anyone.

Those eligible to win:

  • The married couple-or one member of the couple-of the chosen cake
  • The sender of the picture of the chosen cake, and their choice of one guest

 

In order to participate, send a photo of your wedding cake (or that of a friend) in a private message to the ARTIGIANATO E PALAZZO facebook fan page https://www.facebook.com/artigianatoepalazzo/?ref=bookmarks (by doing so this organization is no longer responsible for the privacy and veracity of the information sent). In your message you must include:

  • First and last name of the married couple
  • Date of the wedding
  • Email address and telephone number of a reference
  • Name of the cake and principal ingredients (optional)
  • Name of the baker and/or the bakery (optional)

 

The photographs will be published on the ARTIGIANATO E PALAZZO facebook page in an album created for the contest. A select jury will choose the photos and decide the winner. The chosen photo and the name of the winner will be announced in print and on social media on May 12th. The chosen couple will be informed on the May 5th in order to let them organize coming to Florence for the show.

JURY

The jury is composed of:

  • Giorgiana Corsini and Neri Torrigiani, founders and organizers of the show
  • Annamaria Tossani, curator of “Ricette di Famiglia”
  • Francesco Barthel, responsible for DESINARE catering

The selection criteria:

  • Originality of the cake
  • Originality of the photo
  • Success of the photo on Facebook as measure in the number of likes and reposts
