On March 8, the Bunker Gallery in Florence hosted “Malles,” a project by the non-profit association Malles Design Mediterraneo dedicated to the ceramics of Sejnane—a millennia-old Tunisian tradition recognized in 2018 as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
In collaboration with ARTIGIANATO E PALAZZO, 100 objects crafted by the women artisans of a village in northwestern Tunisia were exhibited. Each piece was entirely handmade, using techniques passed down from mother to daughter.
The works are on sale until April 10 at Bunker Galleria (Via San Gallo, 108R, Florence), from Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The proceeds will directly support the activities of Tunisian craftswomen, helping to preserve this ancestral tradition.
